Mr Lungelo Bhembe is a man who has dedicated his career to research, youth and health development. Over the years, he has become highly skilled in qualitative and quantitative health and development research design, execution, data analysis, management, interpretation and visualization as well as report compilation. 

His over ten-year career is one to be admired, he’s collected a long list of achievements and recognition by being a professional staff member, part-time staff and consultant for various well-known, reputable institutions e.g Eswatini National Youth Council, Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini, United Nations (UN) agencies such as UNFPA and UNICEF, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), WaterAid Eswatini, just to name a few. He is now the managing director of The Research Company (TRECO), providing management and leadership of the company including identification of new business and setting up of operations, administratively and technically. The projects TRECO has been involved with have made a notable influence on youth development and the health sector of Eswatini.

His research experience is validated by holding a Masters in Population Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal, Howard College, Durban. The thesis focused on The Supply and Demand perspective of Barriers to and Facilitators of Health service utilization by young people in Swaziland. University of KwaZulu Natal, Howard College, Durban. In this time he made contributions to International presentations and publications which focused on sexuality education, youth development, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Issues.

His Experience and contribution to research and development are too extensive to list in its entirety, however below is a brief description of some of his previous positions.

Institute for Health Measurement Southern Africa 
  Technical Advisor -Provide Monitoring and Evaluation technical support to Ministry of Health, NERCHA and the Strengthening of Health Management Information System.

UNFPA, Eswatini Country Office 
Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Youth Programme Officer – providing Technical support and advice to national government and youth development partners in the country on ASRH and youth development.

Family Life Association of Swaziland (FLAS) 
National Youth Program Manager – Management and leadership of the FLAS youth affairs department; Monitoring and evaluation of the FLAS Youth Programme.

His expertise has allowed him to be an expert consultant for world-renowned organisations such as UNFPA, UNICEF and MoH, CANGO, FLAS, Save the Children Eswatini,  and WaterAid Eswatini etc. He has sat at international tables and has been involved in the discussion and work concerning the development of youth and health improvements of Eswatini. All the work that has been done by Mr Bhembe proves that he is passionate about the future of Eswatini.
